South Tynedale Railway launches “Barber” appeal


The South Tynedale Railway has launched an appeal to raise the £100,000 needed to return this iconic 1908 built Green’s of Leeds locomotive back to working order - July 2013 update now available.

South Tynedale Railway Wall Appeal

The railway has not escaped unscathed from the recent adverse weather with damage having been caused to the retaining wall adjacent to the river immediately north of Alston station. Repairs are expected to cost in excess of £125,000 of which we urgently need to raise £50,000 as soon as possible.
