The German Railway Society

This society caters for people who are interested in either German or Austrian railways.

  • It produces a quarterly journal entitled “Merkur” which contains details about the society, articles of historical and present day news of German and Austrian railways, locomotives and rolling stock - either of standard or narrow gauge. Members visits to railways and their letters etc, book reviews etc.
  • It has members worldwide.
  • It has local groups.
  • It has a society shop, sells a range of products and operates a help service.
  • Arranges to have a publicity or trade stall at some model railway exhibitions.

As a member, I can thoroughly recommend anyone who is interested in German and Austrian railways to join the German Railway Society.
