Summer Bus Services operated by Wright Bros. (Coaches) Ltd.

During the Summer months, an additional bus service operates from Durham to Alston, as Service X85, which connects at Alston with the coach service between Alston, Penrith and Keswick, on Wright Bros Coaches Service 888. A range of through tickets with day and period returns are available.

The Durham to Alston service is operated by Wright Bros Coaches, with funding provided by Durham County Council.

Service X85 operates every Saturday in July, August and September and on the August Bank Holiday Monday.

Please note: This bus service has now been withdrawn and WILL NOT be operating during 2006.

This service operates on Saturdays only from 2nd July to 24th September 2005 inclusive
and on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August 2005.

Stopping arrangements: Between Durham and Stanhope Market Place this service stops only at timing points shown below.
Between Stanhope Market Place and Alston all bus stops are observed.
